Even though International Fellows arrive in the early part of the summer, you will also have the opportunity to participate in the Fall Orientation Program (starting Monday, August 24 - see the schedule below) with the rest of the new international students. This is a great way to acclimate yourself to life in the United States and meet international students from other academic programs. We know that you will find these no-cost programs both worthwhile and fun.

New International Fellows Arrival and Airport Pickup Program
International Fellows begin arriving to stay in a local hotel or move directly into pre-arranged permanent accommodations. Please see our Housing page for information on how to make housing accommodations before arriving in Claremont. Note: to arrange airport pickup, you need to make arrangements with us at least two weeks prior to your arrival.
I-Place staff and community volunteers can assist you with finding permanent housing, banking, telephone service, health insurance, identification cards, driver's license, and shopping. We will also assist you with required tuberculosis (TB) testing (if you have previously been tested, please be sure to bring documentation of your negative results to the U.S.).
