32nd Annual International Festival
When: Saturday, April 10, 2010, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Where: Claremont McKenna College Quadrangle (Click here for a map!)
What: The International Festival is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year at The Claremont Colleges. Held in the main quad of Claremont McKenna College, over 3,000 people spend the day sampling authentic international cuisine from nearly 30 booths representing the regions and home countries of the international students and scholars at The Claremont Colleges - new countries are represented each year! The main stage features performances of music from around the world by both student and professional artists and can range in diversity from the a Chinese Erhu performance to Classical Indian Dance to an eclectic Brazilian rock band - the line-up changes each year! International Place organizes this event over several months, beginning at the end of the fall semester. Students, the various colleges and the dedicated Community Friends of International Students provide an enormous amount of support by volunteering their time, experience, resources, talent and energy to make the International Festival happen. If you are interested in helping organize the International Festival or volunteering in any way, including performance, please contact Jessica Alampay at jalampay@cmc.edu.
