August 20 |
New International Student Airport Pickup and Temporary Home-Stay Program. Students begin arriving to stay with temporary home-stay while awaiting the opening of residence halls (some students may choose to stay in nearby hotels or motels with accompanying parents or family). Note: to arrange airport pickup or temporary home-stay, you need to make arrangements with us at least two weeks prior to your arrival. |

Become a Claremont Local in a Day!
An optional day program for students who arrive on the 18th and 19th. Meet fellow international students while learning about your new hometown during a walking tour of the beautiful Claremont Village, followed by lunch and a shopping trip for necessities. |

New International Student Orientation Program
I-Place staff, returning students and professors will discuss academic and social issues as they apply to international students in the context of American higher education (university level). Students will also be informed of visa regulations and other legal issues pertaining to their status, as well as additional international student resources. |

Welcome Picnic hosted by Community Friends of International Students - All new CMC and Pomona international students who are not away on W.O.A. or O.A. programs are invited to join us for a Welcome Picnic with new friends, families and home-stay families.
