4th of July Celebration Parade - Come and march with International Place!
The city of Claremont will hold an Independence Day Celebration and Festival on July 4th. The Festival starts at 7:00 AM at Memorial Park with a traditional Pancake Breakfast and will be followed by many activities throughout the day. Later on that day, I-Place will join Community Friends of International Students as they march in the 4th of July Parade. Our own Charlene Martin will be the Grand Marshal! Please contact us if you would like to come along for the 4:00PM parade to support Charlene and the Community Friends! This is a great way to meet people and get to know the Claremont community! 4th of July Celebration - 7:00PM Dessert Party / 9:00PM Fireworks Celebration
This July 4th at 7:00PM, come and enjoy cake & ice-cream at the I-Place Courtyard and Lounge; and mingle with international students and community friends as we celebrate American independence! Then we’ll walk down to the south end of the CMC campus (north of Sixth Street) for a spectacular Fireworks Display at 9:00PM!
Wives' Group Meets Every Wednesday - Every Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Alexander Hughes Community Center. Children Welcome!
Shopping, DMV, Social Security - On Fridays, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., I-Place will have a van available to shuttle students to the Montclair Mall, Target, local groceries, DMV (for CA drivers license and CA ID) and the Social Security Office (for social security card applications). *PLEASE NOTE: Due to time and resources, there will only be ONE trip to the DMV/Social Security Office, it will depart from I-Place at 1:30PM. The last trip from I-Place to Montclair Mall/Target leaves no later than 3:30 p.m. The last shopping/DMV/Social Security trip for the semester will be on Friday, May 9th.
