Tuesday, January 15: New International Exchange Student Arrival Day

  • Airport Welcome & Pickup Service by International Place (note: registration deadline has now passed)

Thursday, January 17

  • 12:00 – 1:00 PM: New International Student Lunch @ International Place (view campus map)
  • Transportation to local shopping
    • Trip #1: 10:00 AM departure from International Place
    • Trip #2: 2:00 PM departure from International Place

Friday, January 18

  • 09:45 – 10:00 AM – Arrive at International Place (view campus map)
  • 10:00 – 10:30 AM – Orientation Welcome & Introductions
  • 10:30 – 11:00 AM – An Introduction to your Immigration Status
  • 11:00 – 11:30 AM – Campus Resources
  • 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM – Life in the US and Q&A
  • 12:00 – 1:00 PM – Lunch
  • 1:00 – 2:00 PM – Campus Tour

Move-In Day

Exchange students at Claremont McKenna College and Pomona College who are attending NISSO will move into their residence halls on Tuesday, January 15, and are expected to stay on campus throughout NISSO.

Pitzer exchange students will move into their residence halls after they have completed the CFIS Host Family Program.

If you signed up for our Airport Pickup Service, make sure you have sent your flight itinerary in to International Place via email by December 14.

Post-NISSO Schedule

In addition to the New International Student and Scholar Orientation (NISSO), each of The Claremont Colleges may offer other college-specific orientation programs and information for new students. Contact your College’s International Student Advisor or Dean of Students Office for more information.
